Spring is definitely here which is fabulous. It's taken a while to arrive but I'm glad that it's here so that's all I'm saying! The weather is warm enough to wander and go on long walks to see the flowers. I'm now counting the days down until I can see and smell the lilac at the Mackinac Island Lilac Festival. I'm also looking forward to this year's memorial weekend pageant in Mackinaw City where 400+ people intend to re-create events which took place between the French,
British and Indian tribes, on June 2, 1763. It's well worth visiting and here's the site: Memorial Weekend Pageant. Yes, I've seen it before but I really enjoy watching! I'm wondering whether to see the 10th Annual Mackinaw Memorial Bridge Race. But I'm also considering visiting some farms which are open to the public near Petosky such as Pond Hill Farm. I've been meaning to get to the Sturgeon River Pottery for a while and I must remember to go to some of the Events of the Little Traverse Conservancy.
There's just so much to do at this time of year but I must not forget to get some more jam from the The American Spoon Company!
